Irony

There’s a bit of irony to the story of my foray into the world of health insurance. Shortly after making the post immediately preceeding this, I was contacted by a guy I met online, while trying to grok the insurance game.

While trying to find his way through the insurance maze, he tried a bit of dabbling in web design. He had offered to help a prominent insurance pro with his web site, but soon found himself over his head..and so he called me to help.

I took over the task, became friends with the insurance professional and built several Sites for him, as well as conducting a major (successful) SEO campaign.

And the story doesn’t end there. The agent I mentioned, was so happy with the work I’d done for him, he turned me on to a man who had just begun an association of independent insurance agents. Long story short, I built the Site for the new organization as well as the Web Sites for a dozen or so of it’s members, with more calling daily. As the association grows, so does my business and I’ve become the Internet consultant to life and health insurance agents all over the country.

When I was a boy, my mom used to say,”sometimes when a door closes, a window opens”. I don’t know whether she was first to coin it, but, as proven here, it’s often quite true.
